After some successful experiments, Cobra, together with its customers has developed a hardened strip steel line with alternating thicknesses.
The hybrid strap is a continuation of the roll-up steel strap and the stretch steel strap. Together with the Graduate School Frankfurt, Cobra has developed a combination of these two types of strip steel.

In April 2010, an absolutely new circle cutter for jigsaws was introduced, which was developed together with Cobra. The main characteristics of this circle cutter are based on Cobra’s newly developed “wrap-stick”.
At the Paper-World Fair in Frankfurt, in January 2009, the new “snap it” ruler was presented.
This self unwinding ruler can be rolled out with a single click and fits into every pencil case when rolled up.
The development of our roll-up materials made it possible to produce strip materials with a click-effect in a through-feed process. This steel strip with click-effect can be used for example in catching springs which catch at overload.

At the PSI Fair for promotional giveaways in January 2008, sensational novelty in the area of measuring instruments was presented. It is a new type of roll-up measuring tape without pull-back spring. This non-bending roll-up measuring tape is based on Cobra’s latest development: the “wrap-stick”.
