Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report and Corporate Carbon Footprint 2023

We, at Cobra Company, have finally completed our first Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report and determined our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) for the year 2023. With this, we have taken another step towards sustainability by establishing a basis for identifying areas of action in climate protection and sustainability in the future.

The Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report (GHG) was prepared in close collaboration with Climate Extender in accordance with the guidelines of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard (GHG Protocol). Together, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of company data, expertly compiled and summarized by Climate Extender. For the CCF, a total balance of 1122 tons of CO2 was determined. The largest share of the emissions identified came from electricity consumption at 400 tons of CO2 and purchased steel at 467 tons of CO2.

Recognizing the need to reduce our CO2 emissions, we took action last year by planning and deciding to construct a new photovoltaic system (PV system). The new PV system has been operational since the end of January this year. With a capacity of 138 kWp, it significantly reduces our purchased electricity and will substantially decrease the amount of CO2 emitted by us in 2024.

This Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report marks a significant milestone in our efforts towards transparency and responsibility in environmental protection. We remain committed to improving our environmental performance and making a positive contribution to climate protection. Additionally, we are meeting the first milestone towards fulfilling our future reporting obligations under the Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure (CSRD).
